Fact Sheet
Janam Tea is wholly owned by Amy Dubin, she is not working as a rep for this company, it is hers. Established 1/1/2004.
Amy is a Tea Curator, Host of Afternoon Tea and a Tea Educator. If you want to use the shortest version, it’s Amy Dubin-Nath, Indian Tea Curator and Experience Designer
Janam tea is an American brand of teas originating specificaly from India.
Janam teas are single-origin: not blended, flavored, spiced or in any other way different from the way they leave the factory.
The packaging for this type of tea is technically as perfect as can be, impervious to oxygen, moisture and light.
Janam Teas are all signed & numbered, meaning when Amy orders tea to be sold under the Janam tea name, the teas are ‘Reserve’ and when then they’re sold out, they’re sold out forever, ensuring a constantly rotating stock.
Janam tea never has more than 6 choices at any given time, which can represent any tea producing region of India, any style, any variety or clone. Like an art gallery with room for only 6 paintings…the teas are offered and sold, but unlike art-the teas vanish never to be seen on this earth again.
The flavor of tea changes from cup to cup. Seasonality, size, oxidation and many other factors contribute to this. Janam tea is not about uniformity, it’s about delivering the best of the best when it’s best.
