Though we had to close our New York City tearoom, we are opening a new lounge and showroom in Columbus, Ohio, which will be our main location for on-site events. However, events in New York City are easily possible as we keep equipment there as well.

What kind of tea does Janam Tea Deal in?

All of Janam Teas are pure, single-origin teas from India. That means that the teas are from a specific tea garden, time of year and style. Janam Tea never, ever: carries tea from any other country, blended teas, flavored teas, bubble tea, or average quality teas that you would find in a grocery store. Fine teas are selected through a laborious process of tasting A LOT of teas, both by Amy and her dedicated Professional Tea Taster. Yes, that is someone’s actual job!

She is able to navigate the right tea for the situation, ensure it’s brewed properly and enjoyed in the best possible context. Can I buy just one pack of tea - can i customize it?

Absolutely! Our teas are available in any quantity and can be customized easily. What we usually do when someone buys just one tea is provide a handwritten note based on a message they’d like included. We can customize individual teas, create a gift basket or whatever you dream of. We can send from one to thousands, no job too big or too small. Whatever your gifting needs, it will be handled with reverence and a personal touch!
