Class Option 2
What is Indian Tea?
$50 Includes 2 hour class on Zoom, samples (this one has 3 samples) of tea mailed to your home address, instructions, and class summary notes. Once you sign up, a class schedule is emailed to you and you can choose your date and time.
You may not realize it, but you likely have been drinking Indian tea for years, as it’s largely found in English Breakfast tea and Earl Grey. Tea doesn’t grow commercially in England (though there are experiments); a lot of what you find as Black Tea is from India. But India makes more than just black teas. The country produces white, green, oolongs and rarely-pu-ehr and matcha too.
This class will introduce you a bit to the history of Indian tea but what it is in the present and what’s possible in the future. You will try a few different types of Indian tea and understand what are the different ways people in India drink tea.
Key takeaways:
Exposure to wide styles of Indian tea-far beyond masala chai
Clarity around growing regions and unique terroir
Understanding of different cultural ways tea is enjoyed in India and how it can be incorporated into your daily life.
